Big K.R.I.T. drops new EP ‘Trifecta’.
After giving us two short EPs called ‘Double Down‘ and ‘Thrice X‘ in the past month, Big K.R.I.T. continues releasing new material as he drops another new EP called ‘TRIFECTA‘. The project contains 3 songs with no guest appearance.
The EP opens with “4 Tha Three,” which has the potential to become a radio song. The melody is catchy, and the tempo fits well into the marketed characteristics’ imagined pocket. With a honey-sweet sample and dreamy mystical pianos, “1 Oh Oh” slows everything down. K.R.I.T. looks on a romance that weathered the storm and blossomed into something new. Despite the difficulties, his boyfriend kept it 1-0-0, or “1 Oh Oh.” The EP comes to a close with “Energy,” which stands out as Trifecta’s greatest tune. It strikes the ideal combination of smooth and hood, and K.R.I.T.’s flows are flawless over the jittery production.
K.R.I.T’s most recent studio album, 4eva Is a Mighty Long Time, was released in 2017; we’re hopeful his current flurry of new songs signals an album in (early?) 2019.
