Baby Keem drops “The Melodic Blue” album.
Baby Keem continues dropping new material as he finally releases his new album “The Melodic Blue”. As announced earlier, the project contains 16 tracks with guest appearances from Kendrick Lamar, Travis Scott and Don Toliver. He already dropped Kendrick & Travis collaborations called “Family Ties” and “Durag Activity.”
There were some rumors that Kendrick Lamar will also feature in a couple of more tracks, which turned out to be true. K. Dot also makes guest appearances on the songs called “Vent” and “Range Brothers.” The album is a follow-up to Baby Keem’s 2019’s project “Die For My B*tch”.
Lamar’s contributions to the album are the first new music he’s released in the year 2021. In 2017, he released Damn, and in 2018, he directed Black Panther: The Album. Last month, Lamar confirmed that he was working on his new album, which would also be his last for longtime label TDE, in a statement on Instagram.
Yesterday, Baby Keem made an appearance on The Tonight Show starring Jimmy Fallon to perform “Issues“.
On Billboard hot 100 “Family Ties” reached its peak at number 18 and earned Keem his first Grammy Award for Best Rap Performance. 53,000 total album-equivalent units were sold for the album in its first week, which helped it debut at number five on the Billboard 200.
