Roddy Ricch drops his new album “Live Life Fast”.
Roddy Ricch makes his return with new material as the Compton rapper has unleashed his brand new album “Live Life Fast”. The project is a follow up to his 2019’s debut effort “Please Excuse Me For Being Antisocial“, and is executive produced by Keith Parker and Roddy Ricch himself.
“My OG P told me, the goal in life was to have fast money, fast bit**es, and fast cars. But the consequences behind that life is glory. But all fast things must slow down,” he said in the album teaser. “And at some point, life will force you to stop. His result was 26 years in a federal penitentiary. I’ve realized I’ve lived fast. I want to take my time. Time is the most expensive luxury in the world. It’s something you spend, and never get back. But you never know how much you have left.”
As Ricch explained to Apple Music in a recent interview: “They say you make your first album and you got your whole life to make your first album. But with your second album, you got from your first album to your second album to make that s**t and talk about mainly what went on between them two. If you a real artist, you ain’t just throwing s**t out.”
The album contains 18 tracks with guest appearances from Future on “All Good”, Jamie Foxx on “No Way”, Kodak Black & 21 Savage on “Hibachi”, Lil Baby on “Moved In Miami”, Ty Dolla Sign & Alex Isley on “Slow It Down”, Gunna on “Don’t I”, Fivio Foreign “Murda One”, Takeoff “Paid My Dues”, and more. The additional production comes from Mustard, Southside, TM88, Boi-1da, Ronny J, Kenny Beats and more.
Within its first week, Live Life Fast landed at 4 on the US Billboard 200 chart, earning 62,000 album-equivalent units (including 3,500 copies in pure album sales). This was Roddy Ricch’s second top 10 ranked debut in the United States. The album has received 76.51 million on-demand plays from the album’s tracks.
