Quavo and Takeoff unleash the “Only Built For Infinity Links” album.
After a rollout with songs like “Hotel Lobby”, followed by “Us vs. Them” with Gucci Mane, and “Big Stunna” with Birdman, the duo of Quavo and Takeoff have finally released their new joint album “Only Built For Infinity Links”.
The new project comes with 18 tracks, featuring additional guest appearances from NBA Youngboy on “Too The Bone”, Young Thug & Gunna on “Chocolate”, Summer Walker on “Mixy” and Mustard on “See Bout It.”
“We’re bouncing off each other,” Takeoff said about music with Quavo in a recent interview with Elliott Wilson and Brian “B.Dot” Miller for Rap Radar. “The chemistry, it’s been there since day one, so we easily bounce off [one another].”
“The chemistry the same, the recording the same. We always normally record by ourselves because we’re so crazy on just dropping new sh*t on each other,” said Quavo. “So when he goes off and record by himself, I can’t wait til he come back and just bring some sh*t in. Make sure he leave the open verse.”
In the latest interview, Quavo spoke of why the Migos are not making music together. “We stand on real deal loyalty, and sometimes that sh*t ain’t displayed,” he explained. “This ain’t got nothing to do with no label, no paperwork, no QC, nothing. This got something to do with the three brothers. And sh*t, it is what it is. Right now, we gon’ be the duo ’til time tell.”

The duo also disclosed that Raekwon gave them permission to call the record Only Built For Infinity Links after Wu-Tang Clan member’s Only Built 4 Cuban Linx, with Quavo admitting that they “most definitely hollered at Raekwon.” He added, “It was all love. We gave him respect and let him know that it would be an honor. We told him it was inspired by y’all, and we most definitely got respect for the OGs.”
