Playboi Carti finally unleashes the “MUSIC” album.
The day is finally here as Playboi Carti releases his long-awaited new album titled “MUSIC”. This is his third studio effort and a follow-up to 2018’s “Whole Lotta Red”. The project was previously titled “I AM MUSIC” but has now been changed to “MUSIC” only.
The rapper officially kicked off the roll out over a year ago with a series of new songs in late 2023, which included “2024” with Kanye West co-production, and another one titled “H00dByAir.” He then dropped “Backrooms” featuring Travis Scott in early 2024.
“I really try to stay out my head, I try to stay out my phone and I just try to lock in,” Playboi Carti told Numéro Berlin in a recent interview. “I’m in my surroundings. I’ve been recording in Paris. I love Paris. I was recording in a cave for like three months and all the music that came out of that is just chaotic and crazy.”
“Then, I’m in a glass house somewhere in the hills and the music there is just very good to the ears. And then, I’m in Atlanta and the tensions are just high and the music is biting. So, it’s the little things like that that keep me going, because I’m just trying to talk to myself,” he added.
After some high speculations, the rapper announced this week that the album will be dropped this Friday. The project is finally out with a pack of 30 songs. The guest appearances comes from Travis Scott, Kendrick Lamar, The Weeknd, Future, Lil Uzi Vert, Young Thug, Ty Dolla Sign and more.
