Nigo unleashes the new album “I Know NIGO.”
After the rollout in the past few weeks, NIGO finally releases his long-awaited new album “I Know NIGO”. This is the iconic Japanese fashion designer’s come back album, and the first in almost two decades following 2005’s “NIGO Presents: Return of the Ape Sounds”.
He already released music videos for “Arya” with ASAP Rocky, “Want It Bad” with Kid Cudi, “Hear Me Clearly” with Pusha T, and “Heavy” with Lil Uzi Vert. Earlier today, the Tyler, The Creator collaboration “Come On, Let’s Go” was already released.
The additional guest appearances comes from late Pop Smoke on “Remember”, Pharrell and Gunna on “Functional Addict”, Clipse on “Punch Bowl”, ASAP Ferg on “Paper Plates” and more. The album also features a 2019 “Lost & Found Freestyle” from ASAP Rocky & Tyler, the Creator.
Nigo has had a tight association with hip-hop, notably with musicians like Pharrell and Pusha T, since the pinnacle of Bape’s career in the early 2000s. The latter rapper’s decades-long feud with Lil Wayne was sparked in part by Weezy’s contention that he, not Pharrell, made Bape hot.
