Nicki Minaj unleashes new album Pink Friday 2.
The day is finally here as Nicki Minaj makes her long-awaited return with the highly anticipated new album “Pink Friday 2”. The project is a sequel to her debut album “Pink Friday” which was dropped back in 2010.
Pink Friday 2 comes with a pack of 22 tracks, with guest appearances from J. Cole on “Let Me Calm Down”, Lil Wayne & Tate Kobang on “RNB”, Drake on “Needle”, Lil Uzi Vert on “Everybody”, Future on “Nicki Hendrix” and more. The album includes previously released “Red Ruby Da Sleeze”, “Super Freaky Girl”, “Bahm Bahm” and “Last Time I Saw You“.
“Me even having people anticipate an album … My first album came out in 2010. My first mixtape came out in 2007. So the fact that people even care is a blessing,” she said in a new interview with Zane Lowe previously. “I could have been put this album out … I feel like as a leader in anything, you have to be willing to take those kind of risks that you know that you’re not guaranteed to win at, but it’s going to shift the motherf–king culture because if you ain’t going to do it, who will?”
Nicki Minaj hasn’t released a full-length album in over five years, as she last dropped her fourth studio effort “Queen” in 2018. Minaj’s new album is a sequel to her debut effort, which featured Eminem, Rihanna, Drake, Kanye West and more. Pink Friday debuted at number two on the US Billboard 200 chart, selling 375,000 copies in its first week. The album was nominated for Best Rap Album at the 54th Grammy Awards in 2012.
Nicki Minaj followed Pink Friday 2 with a Gag City Deluxe version of the album. The new version was laced with 50 Cent featured “Beep Beep” and “Love Me Enough” with Monica and Keyshia Cole.
