Macklemore is back with his new album “BEN”.
Macklemore returns as he finally put out his brand new album “BEN”. This is his third studio album, and a follow up to 2017’s “Gemini“. The project comes with the previously released lead single “Heroes” with legendary DJ Premier.
“DJ Premier’s production defined my childhood,” he wrote in part. “He was the soundtrack to my adolescence. I used to STUDY his drums. The way he chopped samples. The way his scratches had a personality to them, a voice. By the time the first snare hits, you can usually tell it’s a Preemo beat. I can still remember freestyling to the Come Clean instrumental for hours.”
The new album contains 15 tracks, with additional guest appearances from Collett, Windser, NLE Choppa, Jackson Lee Morgan, Morray and more.
Macklemore and his daughter, Sloane Haggerty, collaborated to produce the visual for “NO BAD DAYS.” The video features the father-daughter duo spending quality time together by engaging in various activities such as karaoke, hairstyling, and horseback riding. Towards the end of the video, they attend a Seattle Kraken game where the enthusiastic crowd joins them in the fun.
