Joey Badass’ new album “2000” is finally here.
After a little delay, Joey Badass has dropped his long-awaited new album “2000”. The project is a follow-up to his 2017’s “All-Amerikkkan Bada$$“, and a sequel to his critically praised first mixtape 1999 from 2012.
The 14-track album is laced with recently released singles “Zipcodes“, “Survivors Guilt” and “Where I Belong“. The guest appearances comes from Diddy on “The Baddest”, Westside Gunn on “Brand New 911”, Larry June on “One Of Us”, Chris Brown and Capella Grey on “Welcome Back” and JID on “Wanna Be Loved”.
“Very proud to share this body of work with you all. Thank you to everyone involved features and production wise, thank you to my management team, my label and my friends and family who have lent me countless ears and constructive criticism,” he wrote.

The New York rapper is presently on tour with Capella Grey for his 1999-2000 summer North American tour, and it will live out the rest of July visiting San Francisco, Sacramento, San Diego, and Santa Ana before wrapping up in Los Angeles.
1999’s release at the young age of 17 made a lasting influence that was difficult to shake. He has been labelled as a retro rapper, a sometimes negative term for musicians that favour drab, sampled loops. 1999 serves as Joey Bada$$’s defining statement, constantly falling over following works that look inferior in comparison, much like Nas and his seminal debut Illmatic.
