Jay Electronica shares new projects on his 49th birthday.
Jay Electronica turned 49 on September 19, and the rapper decided to celebrate with not one, but three projects in 48 hours. He first re-released “Act II: The Patents of Nobility (The Turn)” on streaming platforms, followed by “A Written Testimony: Leaflets” and “A Written Testimony: Power At The Rate Of My Dreams”.
The “Leaflets” come with a pack of 7 tracks, with guest appearances from Quentin Miller on “Who Killed Michael Jackson??????” and DRAM on “Is It Possible That The Honourable Elijah Muhammad Is Still Physically Alive???”
On the song titled “Four Billion, Four Hundred Million (4,400,000,000) / The Worst Is Yet To Come,” the New Orleans hinted at some more new music. “Hov been such a brother to me and so patient with me,” he spits. “I gave him 19 albums in one day and he ain’t even have to pay me.”
The other EP, “Power At The Rate Of My Dreams”, comes with a pack of 5 songs, with guest appearances from Dr. Wesley Muhammad PhD, Westside Gunn, and Hit-Boy.
These are his first new projects since dropping “A Written Testimony” and “Act II: The Patents of Nobility (The Turn)” in 2020.
