J. Cole drops new project “Might Delete Later”.
After teasing it previously with his vlog series, J. Cole has released a surprise new album titled “Might Delete Later”. This is a follow-up to his 2021 album titled “The Off-Season.”
The new album comes with a pack of 12 songs, with guest appearances from Ari Lennox, Young Dro & Gucci Mane on “Pricey”, Cam’ron on “Ready ’24”, Bas & Central Cee on “H.Y.B.”, Daylyt & Ab-Soul on “Pi”, and Bas on “Sleath Mode”.
In the song titled “7 Minute Drill”, Cole also fired back at Kendrick Lamar for recent diss on “Like That”. “I got a phone call, they say that somebody dissin’ / You want some attention, it come with extensions,” he raps. “He still doin’ shows, but fell off like the Simpson’s / Yo first sh-t was classic, yo last sh-t was tragic / Yo second shit put niggas to sleep but they gassed it / Yo third sh-t was massive and that was yo prime / I was trailin’ right behind and I just now hit mine / Now I’m front of the line with a comfortable lead / How ironic, now that I got it he want somethin’ with me.”
In his verse on Future & Metro Boomin album, K. Dot fired shots at Drake and J. Cole, who often called on same level as the former TDE rapper, and the three are used with the term “Big Three.” “Ah, yeah, huh, yeah, get up with me / F–k sneak dissin’, first person shooter, I hope they came with three switches,” he raps, in reference to Drake and J. Cole’s collab “First Person Shooter.”
“Think I won’t drop the location? I still got PTSD / Motherf–k the big three, ni–a, it’s just big me / Ni–a, bum, what? I’m really like that / And your best work is a light pack,” he adds.
