IDK drops his new album “USEE4YOURSELF” feat Young Thug, Rico Nasty & others.
IDK continues dropping new material as he releases his brand new album called “USEE4YOURSELF“. The project is a follow-up to his 2019’s “Is He Real”. The album contains 17 tracks with guest appearances from Rico Nasty, Young Thug, Swae Lee, and the late DMX.
The project also features a posthumous appearance from the late MF Doom on the song called “Red” which also features Jay Electronica and Griselda’ Westside Gunn. A couple of months ago, IDK teamed up with Offset for the video of “Shoot My Shot“.
Prior to the album’s release, IDK oversaw a community improvement initiative in which he planned and built a new basketball court as well as a venue for artists to display their work in his Prince George County community.
IDK sifts through memories of a shattered childhood (“1995”) and mulls how his upbringing in a problematic environment affects his ability to love (“Cry in Church”) on the album, which is introspective and sad at times. However, the project also delves into a variety of different themes and emotions. IDK reflects on materialism (“Red”), masculinity (“Peloton”), and religion (“Closure”), demonstrating his standing as one of rap’s most insightful thinkers and dynamic songwriters. While there are moments of pathos in the songs, there are also tracks that just go hard. “Keto,” which features electrifying appearances from SwaeLee and RicoNasty and is produced by Neptunes, demonstrates another vivid aspect of IDK’s approach.
