Earl Sweatshirt and The Alchemist dropped “Voir Dire”.
After teasing it earlier this week, Earl Sweatshirt and The Alchemist team up for a new joint album “Voir Dire”. The full-length project is released on the Gala Music website and is currently unavailable on streaming services. The title of the album is translated to Latin, which means “speak the truth.”
The project comes with a pack of 11 tracks, which includes a guest appearance from MIKE on “Sentry”. Voir Dire arrived on the 10th anniversary of Sweatshirt’s debut album “Doris”, which was released in August 2013.
The new project follows up Sweatshirt’s last year album “Sick!“, and Alchemist’s recent EP “Flying High“. Last year, Sweatshirt stated that The Alchemist, Madib and Tyler, the Creator are perfect producers for rappers. “He cares bro,” Earl said for The Alchemist. “He cares a lot bro, he cares. And it’s like, whoa, there’s a lot going on… him and Madlib, bro. It’s like, ‘Oh this is not just a loop… you gotta think about the influences. With Al, even with Black [Noi$e], with Madlib, this is like the influences is going back to a certain place.”
