Conway The Machine drops his new project “If It Bleeds, It Can Be Killed”.
After giving us ‘From King To A GOD‘ Deluxe Version in December, Griselda’s Conway The Machine returns with some new material as he teams up with Producer Big Ghost LTD for a new joint project called “If It Bleeds, It Can Be Killed” which is a sequel to their last year’s ‘No One Mourns The Wicked‘.
The project contains 10 tracks with guest appearances from Ransom, Rome Streetz, and Knowledge The Pirate.
Conway and the rest of the Griselda lineup have been on a roll, with the five official members releasing nine projects in 2020 and no sign of slowing down. Following the release of Griselda Records president Westside Gunn’s “Who Made the Sunshine” in 2020 and the upcoming Conway record “God Don’t Make Mistakes,” which is rumoured to drop at the end of February, Griselda’s contract with Eminem’s Shady Records will expire in 2021.
If It Bleeds brings Conway back together with Big Ghost Limited, who rose to fame for his scathing critique delivered in the same manner as Ghostface Killah and turned it into a producing career of his own. Similar to the in-house composer for Griselda, Daringer, Big Ghost is a devotee of the Alchemist who uses archival B-sides and film music as inspiration.
Conway The Machine released his debut solo album From King to a GOD in September, with 14 tracks and guest appearances from DeJ Loaf, Method Man, Havoc, Lloyd Banks, Armani Caesar, Freddie Gibbs, Benny The Butcher, Westside Gunn, and others. Later, he released a deluxe version of the album, which included five additional tracks.
Free agency, on the other hand, appears to be the best fit for the Griselda group. “From a King to a God,” Conway’s most recent album, which was co-released by his own label DrumWork Music Group and EMPIRE, charted on the Billboard 200. “If It Bleeds It Can Be Killed” is a relatively small-scale project available exclusively on Bandcamp that rivals any high-profile Griselda release in terms of quality.
