ASAP Ferg continues putting out new material as he drops his brand new album “Darold” which he announced recently. This is his first album in over four years, as he previous dropped “Floor Seats II” in 2020, as a follow-up to the first instalment in 2019.
The project comes with a pack of 12 songs, with previous released “Allure” featuring Future & Mike WiLL Made-It. The additional guest appearance comes from Dapper Dan, Denzel Curry, Mary J. Blige, Shay Rock and more.
“This album means the world to me !!! This is a literal work of art . I started painting again during the pandemic and flirted with the idea of doing my own cover art for my album . The therapeutic nature of brush on canvas put me in a zone and I decided Id just do all my single covers myself . The vibe was Fresh and I was back hooked on painting again,” he wrote.
“Creating my first album “ Trap lord “ was an outlet for me being a young black man in the hood facing daily adversities. At one point I even felt like a “lord that was trapped” . Reflection led me to becoming more “Hood pope” the enlightened one but I found balance in just being “ Darold”,” he added. “Thank you to all my family , friends , and fans/fam who gave me space to grow. I never wanted to take 4 years to create a album but I also never wanna talk unless I have something to say,” he added. “The art was elevated once I evolved as a person . I can go on forever but I figure we can kick it in the comments or when I see you in person.”
