21 Savage unleashes his new album “American Dream”.
After a surprise announcement earlier this week, 21 Savage has officially released his third solo album “American Dream”. The album artwork is a reference to him moving to the USA from England at an early age. Just the other day, 21 unveiled album features with baby pictures of artists that will be on the project.
The album comes with a pack of 15 tracks, with guest appearances from Doja Cat on “n.h.i.e.”, Young Thug on “Pop ur Sh-t”, Lil Durk on “Dangerous”, Travis Scott on “nee-nah”, Summer Walker on “Prove It”, Brent Faiyaz on “Should’ve Wore A Bonnet”, Burna Boy on “Just Like Me”, and Mariah The Scientist on “Dark Days”. Metro Boomin majorly contributes to the album with production on several tracks.
The album is released following the trailer of 21 Savage’s upcoming biopic film “American Dream: The 21 Savage Story”. The biopic stars 21 Savage himself, along with Donald Glover and Stranger Things star Caleb McLaughlin.
The new album is a follow-up to his 2018’s second solo album “I Am > I Was”. In 2022, the rapper teamed up with Drake for a joint album “Her Loss.” The project debuted at number 1 on the US Billboard 200, moving over 133,000 equivalent album units in the US in the week ending January 18. This was 21 Savage’s fourth number-one project on the US Charts. 21 previously earned the top spot on the US album Charts with “I Am > I Was” in 2019, “Savage Mode II” with Metro Boomin in 2020 and “Her Loss” with Drake in 2022.
