Eminem’s Rare Shady XV Carhartt Jordan 4s featured in his first NFT Release.
The manager of Eminem has the most media attention in years, prepping the audience for Marshall’s first-ever NFT merchandise rollout. Paul Rosenberg appears as a guest on Nait Jones’ SpeakEasy show. As announced earlier this week, Eminem dropped some collectibles through his first NFT release earlier today on Nifty Gateway. The world’s first NFT drop from Eminem provides Stans, fans, NFT enthusiasts, and collectors ONE OPPORTUNITY to own a piece from Eminem’s premier NFT drop. Born from the convergence of blockchain technology, creative enthusiasm, and pandemic doldrums, this drop was inspired by Eminem’s passion as a vintage toy, comic book, and trading card collector that traces back to his childhood days as just “plain old Marshall”. Make no mistake, this is a digital festival- modeled after the traditional “Con” gatherings where fans come together and trade their wares. You may not be able to get together with thousands of Stans in a poorly ventilated convention center somewhere on the outskirts of 8 Mile Rd., but this weekend you can rub elbows with each other right here on Nifty Gateway and own a piece of the collectible, non-fungible action. Along with other items, some pairs of rare Eminem’s Shady XV Carhartt Jordan 4s were also made available in the NFT auction.
One of the most valuable Air Jordan 4s is the 2005 collaboration with UNDEFEATED, which had only 72 pairs created and sold for $18,500 in 2016. Only 50 pairs of Eminem’s Air Jordan 4 “Encore” were made in 2005. In 2017, the rapper collaborated with StockX to develop an even more limited edition of the kick, with only 23 pairs made. His three-way collaboration with Carhartt and Jordan Brand in 2015 was also exceedingly restricted.
Eminem’s manager Paul Rosenberg recently appeared on SpeakEasy for an interview with Nait Jones where he talked about the first NFT release by the Detroit Rapper. On the show, he revealed about the Shady XV Carhartt Jordan 4s, along with “Infinite” album vinyl and SSLP20 Film Strip Shady Box signed by Eminem. The incredible Shady XV Carhartt Jordan 4s were made during Shady Records’ 15th anniversary in 2014.
“In the Celebration of 15 years of label Shady Records and to Celebrate the Release of new Shady Records Album “SHADY XV”, Legendary Sneaker Customizer, Mache, made new exclusive pair of Jordan 4’s SHADY XV version. The sneakers have SHADY XV album artwork printed on them. The two pairs of shoes are made for only Eminem and his manager Paul Rosenberg. The SHADY XV version Jordan 4’s are built on a stainless steel upper, with custom-made hangtags and tongue tags. Red accents handle the Jumpman on the heel as well as the tongue and premium laces, completing the SHADY XV vibe.”
