J. Cole Posts Colin Kaepernick's Letter To New York Jets' Team Manager

Colin Kaepernick wants to play for the New York Jets.

Colin Kaepernick, the NFL quarterback who hasn’t played in the league since taking a knee in protest of police brutality back in 2016, shows the desire to play professional football with a letter to the New York Jets. Following the season-ending injury to Aaron Rodgers, Kaepernick sent a letter to the New York Jets’ general manager Joe Douglas to make his case to fit in the team.

J. Cole, who has been a supporter of Kaepernick, shares the letter on his social media for the public. “I asked Colin @kaepernick7 if I could share this letter with the world. He was reluctant,” Cole wrote in the caption. “My argument was that I believe the people and all organizations should know the truth about how hard he works and how much he still wants to play. And always has. In the end, he agreed to let me.”

He continued, “I wish the @nyjets organization luck. My boy @bas is a big a-s fan so I saw the heartbreak of every Jets fan when Arod went down @richeisen Everyone from players, to coaches, to execs are feeling the pressure I’m sure. I hope y’all can turn it around, and I hope there’s a spot out there for my boy Kap. PEACE”

Kaepernick started kneeling during the national anthem in a 2016 game when he was playing for the San Francisco 49ers. The peaceful protest sparked a nationwide debate, for which he received both support and criticism.
