'The Punisher' Cast Reacts to Eminem's Support for the Show

The Cast of “The Punisher” Reacts to Eminem’s support for the show.

Netflix recently canceled their hit Marvel show ‘The Punisher‘ and it turns out legendary Eminem was also a fan of the show as he showed his frustration on Twitter. The Punisher, which just finished its second season, and Jessica Jones, which has yet to air its third season, are the last two Marvel shows to be canceled by Netflix, and Eminem was not pleased. After that, the cast of The Punisher also responded to Eminem’s support.

The lead actor Jon Bernthal who plays Frank Castle aka The Punisher in the show showed his love for Eminem on Twitter & also called him the king.

The other cast of the show, Amber Rose Revah who played Dinah Madani in the show also tweeted after finding out Eminem also watch the show & said that it’s that same feeling as when you have your first child. Floriana Lima, who played Krista Dumont in the second season of The Punisher also took to Twitter to show her love.

The Punisher cast Jason R. Moore said he wished rapper Eminem had commented on the programme prior to its discontinuation. Moore portrayed Curtis Hoyle in the Marvel television series. “Apparently Eminem’s like a fan, like a big fan. He had his little issue, right?” Moore told TMZ. “He had Eminem/The Punisher issue. And so he was, apparently, watching it and enjoying it and then when he heard the show got axed he was like, he had to say something. He voiced it, made a pretty big splash on Twitter. […] It was a good look. Eminem, he should have probably been chiming in earlier on, before the show got axed.”

Billy Russo’s psychologist, Floriana Lima, added her two cents. Jason R. Moore, the man in charge of keeping everything together as Curtis, felt the same way. Moore’s remarks ring true since not even Eminem’s glowing endorsement can untangle such knotted ties. Still, it’s wonderful to see the cast come together, especially around a shared love of hip-hop. Clearly, culture has a powerful ability to draw people together.

The majority of that was caused by disagreements on how to approach them, particularly in terms of length. According to reports, Netflix sought to abbreviate the seasons of those Marvel episodes in order to address the tendency of such shows to see a decline in popularity in the middle and beyond of the season, as well as to reduce the cost of producing them for Netflix.

Iron Fist was the first Netflix show to be canceled, followed by Luke Cage and Daredevil. However, just like with The Punisher, those cancellations were made after the final episode had aired. Before the first episode of Jessica Jones ever airs, it is being deleted.

Ben Barnes, who played Jigsaw in the show, and Jason R. Moore who played Curtis Hoyle also reacted to Eminem’s support for the show.

Actor Jon Bernthal, who played Frank Castle a.k.a. The Punisher for the entire run of the programme, took to Instagram to bid farewell to his character. “To all who have served. All who know loss,” he captioned an image of Frank Castle. “All who love and understand Frank and his pain. It has been an honor to walk in his boots. I’m endlessly grateful to the comic fans and the men and women of the Armed Services and law enforcement community who Frank means so much to. Thank you to the USMC and all the wonderful soldiers who trained me. Go Hard. Be safe.”

Billy Russo’s psychologist, Floriana Lima, added her two cents. Jason R. Moore, the man in charge of keeping things together as Curtis, felt the same way. Moore’s remarks ring true, since not even Eminem’s glowing endorsement can unravel such twisted threads. Still, it’s good to see the cast come together, especially around a shared love of hip-hop. Clearly, culture has a powerful ability to draw people together.
