Killer Mike drops the new mixtape “Sunday Morning Massacres”.
Killer Mike returns with some new material as he releases his brand new mixtape called ‘Sunday Morning Massacres‘. The project comes in collaboration with DJ Greg Street and it contains 18 new tracks.
Before forming the highly acclaimed rap duo Run The Jewels, Killer Mike had a long career filled with ups and downs. Mike rose to prominence as an Outkast associate in the early 2000s, releasing five studio albums. DJ Greg Street has compiled a collection of Mike recordings dubbed Sunday Morning Massacres to serve as a remembrance of Mike’s pre-RTJ days.
These “shelved in 2008” tracks are from a series of freestyles Mike used to post on Sunday morning Massacres isn’t a haphazard attempt to cash in on the rapper’s present popularity, despite the fact that it’s a collection of one-offs put together years later. It’s well-crafted, with an opener and a series of sketches weaving Mike’s raps together.
