Eminem’s new album “Music To Be Murdered By” debuted at #1 on Billboard 200.

Shady/Aftermath/Interscope Records released “Music to Be Murdered By” as a surprise on January 17th. It’s Eminem’s first album since “Kamikaze”, which debuted at #1 on Billboard 200 in 2018 and was a surprise release. Eminem released his new surprise album ‘Music To Be Murdered By‘ last week and it debuted at number one on the Billboard 200 with sales of 274,876 album-equivalent units sold in the United States. Halsey’s ‘Manic‘, Mac Miller’s ‘Circles‘ ranked second and third respectively.

Music to Be Murdered By“, Eminem’s latest album, is his historic 10th No. 1 album on the Billboard 200 chart. According to Nielsen Music, the album debuted at the top of the chart with 279,000 equivalent album units sold in the United States in the week ending January 23.

The Billboard 200 chart ranks the top-selling albums in the United States each week based on multi-metric consumption as measured in equivalent album units. Album sales, track equivalent albums (TEA), and streaming equivalent albums are all counted as units (SEA). On Jan. 28, Billboard will publish the complete new February 1-dated chart (where Music to Be Murdered By debuts at No. 1).

Eminem also makes chart history as he broke Kanye West’s record of 9 consecutive albums debuting at number one on Billboard 200. Eminem breaks a tie with Kanye West for the most consecutive No. 1 debut on the Billboard 200 with “Music to Be Murdered By”, which sets a new record. He becomes the 1st artist to top the charts10 times a row. With “Jesus Is King”, West scored his ninth consecutive No. 1 debut in 2019.

Eminem’s new album is his tenth consecutive album to be debuted at the Top of Billboard 200.
