Eminem, Jay-Z, Nas are Denzel Washington’s Favorite Rappers.
Denzel Washington spoke directly with the people during a recent Reddit Ask Me Anything session. Fans were able to present the Oscar-winning actor with numerous questions.
One user wanted to know if Washington was a fan of rapper Eminem, and the star of the upcoming film The Equalizer answered by sharing three of his all-time favourites.
“Eminem, yes, and I like Nas, and Jay-Z,” he replied.
Going beyond this, Washington also revealed the reason for his appreciation for Em and Nas.
“Eminem and NAS are real wordsmiths,” he wrote. “So yes, I’m DEFINITELY an Eminem fan.”
“Where’s he been?” he asks. “Where you been Eminem?”
Eminem has been touring as part of The Monster Tour with Rihanna this year, but he’s also landed a song, “Guts Over Fear” on the trailer for Denzel Washington’s film, The Equalizer.
Eminem has also broken records. He was just included in the Guinness Book of World Records for having the most words in a single popular song. He also talked about his favourite movie genres:
You know what? I’m on a Stanley Kubrick trip right now. I’ve just been watchin’ all of his films. I watched FULL METAL JACKET the other day, CLOCKWORK ORANGE, I’ve always been a fan of Scorsese, but I’ve sort of been on a Kubrick trip of late. I don’t know why. In the next couple of years, I think I mentioned I’m going to direct a film, so I’ve started to put that hat on and watch how other filmmakers put together their movies. Kubrick was a genius. And simple. I was amazed at how simple his shot selection was. He knew exactly where to put the camera in the right place, it didn’t feel like it’s been filmed, it feels like reality.
