A Boogie Wit Da Hoodie Reveals 'Hoodie SZN' Album Artwork & Release Date

A Boogie Wit Da Hoodie reveals cover art & release date for ‘Hoodie SZN’.

A Boogie Wit Da Hoodie’s new project ‘Hoodie SZN‘ is done and he has revealed that the album will drop on December 21st. A Boogie also unveiled the official cover art for the album which is a follow-up to his last year’s debut album ‘The Bigger Artist‘.

Hoodie SZN is the follow-up to his debut album The Bigger Artist, which debuted at No. 4 on the Billboard 200 list with 67,000 units sold in its first week. That album includes the platinum-selling track “Drowning,” which features Kodak Black.

On December 21, 2018, it will be released. Juice WRLD, 6ix9ine, Nav, Offset, Tyga, Young Thug, and Queen Naija were among the artists included. On March 23, 2018, the song “Odee” was made available online for the first time. The song “Pull Up” was on the EP International Artist before.

This was A Boogie wit da Hoodie’s first number-one album in the United States. The album stayed at number one for a second week in its fourth week, selling 56,000 units with 749 traditional album sales, trying to make it the worst number-one album since Billboard began tracking unit sales with Nielsen SoundScan. The Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) certified the album platinum on June 26, 2019, for combined sales and album-equivalent units of over a million in the United States.

‘Demons and Angels,’ featuring Juice WRLD, peaked at number 90, ‘Startender,’ featuring Offset and Tyga, peaked at number 59, 6ix9ine’s assisted track, “Swervin,” peaked at number 38, and “Look Back At It,” the album’s lead single, peaked at number 27, becoming the album’s highest-charting song and A Boogie’s highest charting song overall at the time.

Back in September, A Boogie was kind enough to give fans a four-song project called B4 #HoodieSZN to tide them over until his second album dropped. The album includes an appearance by labelmate Don Q as well as production from Zaytoven and others.

The Bronx native, Hoodie revealed the album artwork on his Instagram account on Monday (Dec. 3). The illustration depicts the rhymer in the rain, cloaked in darkness, wearing a Highbridge the Label hoodie, with the actual Bronx High Bridge in the background. A Boogie can also be heard on 6ix9ine’s latest album Dummy Boy’s song “Waka.” Tory Lanez’s new video for “If It Ain’t Right” also features the 22-year-old rapper.

The song “Odee” was first made freely available online on March 23, 2018. “Pull Up” was previously released on the EP International Artist. The song “Look Back at It” preceded the album.

Hoodie SZN opened at number two on the US Billboard 200 in its first week, with 90,000 album-equivalent units (6,000 pure album sales). The album remained at number two on the list in its second week, selling an additional 58,000 copies. The Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) certified the album platinum on June 26, 2019, for combined sales and album-equivalent units of over a million units in the United States.

‘Demons and Angels,’ featuring Juice WRLD, reached number 90, ‘Startender,’ featuring Offset and Tyga, reached number 59, 6ix9ine’s assisted track, “Swervin,” reached number 38, and the album’s lead single, “Look Back At It,” reached number 27, becoming the album’s highest charting song and A Boogie’s highest charting song overall at the time.

The new album will be the follow-up to A Boogie’s B4 #HoodieSZN EP, which was released in September. After kicking off his prolific year with International Artist in June, the Bronx native returns with his third album of the year. As of Wednesday, A Boogie had not revealed the Hoodie SZN tracklist (December 5). Some of the guests have been confirmed by Offset, Tyga, and Juice WRLD, according to the platinum-selling musician.
