Stream 50 Cent Releases A New Project The Kanan Tape

50 Cent drops new EP “The Kanan Tape”.

50 Cent finally releases his much-delayed project ‘The Kanan Tape’ which is Packed with 7 Tracks and features that came from Young Buck, Lil Boosie, Post Malone, sonny Digital & More. 50 Cent also drops off the video trailer for ‘Too Rich’.

The Kanan Tape is a seven-track project that presumably reintroduces 50 to the no-frills, no-holds-barred mixtape scene of the early 2000s. With the beef-proof “Body Bag” and the London On Da Track-produced cut “Too Rich,” Fif has already dropped breadcrumbs on the path to Kanan. The Queens rap entrepreneur brags about his bankrolls while shooing away money diggers on the latter. On the hook, he repeats, “I’m too rich for the b-tch.”

50 is working on his Street King Immortal LP, which is the follow-up to his 2014 Animal Ambition record, which debuted at No. 1 on the Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums in June.

50 made headlines earlier today when he chastised the Grammys for ignoring Fetty Wap in the Best New Artist category. Despite the enormous success of his debut album, Get Rich or Die Trying, 50 was nominated for the prize in 2004 but lost to the rock band Evanescence. He began stretching his horizons into the business world after releasing G-Unit (without the jailed Tony Yayo) the following year and released his follow-up, The Massacre. He earned a slew of press articles for his role in the promotion and subsequent selling of Vitamin Water. Animal Ambition, his last solo full-length, was released in 2014.

50 confirmed intentions to release new music in September during an interview with The Independent in July. “I’m not gonna tell who’s on it because I’m the most exciting person [on the album],” he said, before confirming the project would not be his oft-delayed Street King Immortal album. “That original version is not [being released],” he maintained.

Before I Self Destruct, 50’s fourth studio album, Street King Immortal, was supposed to be the official follow-up. Originally set to be released in the summer of 2011, the project was given an official release date of November 2012 in July 2012. After thereafter, the album was postponed multiple times, from February 2013 to September 2015 to August 2016.
