Watch Royce da 5'9 Says Joe Budden Owes Eminem An Apology

Royce da 5’9″ says Joe Budden owes Eminem an Apology. Promotes his new album “Book of Ryan”.

Royce da 5’9″‘s new album ‘Book of Ryan‘ is out now which features appearances from Eminem, J. Cole, Logic, Pusha T, Jadakiss, and more. Royce has started the promo run for the project as he made a visit to The Angie Martinez show for a new interview.

Royce stated in March that he did not approve of Joe’s approach to criticizing Eminem’s record. Joe stated that Royce had not heard enough of his commentary on the Everyday Struggle show to fully comprehend its context. Royce was unwavering in his opinion of Joe Budden during his recent interview on The Breakfast Club.

On the show, he talks about being sober for 6 years, the future of Slaughterhouse, personal content on his new album, Joe’s comments about Eminem, Politics, how music has changed, working with J, Cole, the current state of Kanye West.

Royce claimed that Budden’s choice of words — “that sh*t trash, throw it on rice!” — was illogical. Royce believes he doesn’t have a problem with his fellow Slaughterhouse member, but he told Angie that Budden’s statements were inappropriate. “I think he had a right to voice his opinion, definitely. I felt like he used a few choice words that were unnecessary. I feel they were a little motive-driven,” he says at the 20:30 mark before Angie asked if Joe was simply trolling. “A little bit. I think if he had just said, ‘You know, I’m not feeling this one,’ I don’t think it would’ve garnered the attention.

Angie went on to suggest that Budden may not have realized the magnitude of his critique because he was “transforming” from rapper to hip-hop analyst at the time. “I’m a really reasonable person…I can totally understand that: You’re in the heat of the moment and then you just go a little too far,” Royce said (21:55). “And if it comes with an apology, you know, we’re having a whole different conversation.

He also said that Joe Budden owes Eminem an apology for being for disrespecting the Detroit rapper. “I think [Joe] owes [Em] an apology,” says Royce.
