Watch Nicki Minaj's Interview on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert

Nicki Minaj visits The Late Show with Stephen Colbert.

Nicki Minaj continues promoting her new album ‘Queen‘ as she made a visit to The Late Show with Stephen Colbert. On the show, she talks about the exotic album cover, taking people’s names on ‘Barbie Dreams’ and more. Nicki also spits a hilarious new verse for Stephen Colbert which left him stunned.

The song is mentioned by presenter Stephen Colbert during Minaj’s visit on “The Late Show” on Monday night. “This one is getting a lot of attention because of some of the famous men you call out in this and you… in no uncertain terms, describe reasons why these men would not be able to — as the millennials say — ‘get with you,'” Colbert continues, referring to the individuals mentioned.

Minaj recently revealed her relationship status to Elle in June, claiming that she is now “the first time in my life that I’ve ever been single. “I remember feeling like I could do anything at one time in my life, and somewhere along the line, I just started second guessing myself, for whatever reason,” she told the magazine. “As soon as I realized that I could actually live and breathe, and eat and sleep, and walk and talk without having a boyfriend, something clicked in me.”

Minaj takes a brief pause before beginning to tap a rhythm on the desk and raps “I might f— Stephen after the show/ He gonna come back to work with a magical glow.” It might be the first time fans have seen Colbert get red in more than 15 years of watching him on television. There was a whole minute of laughter until Minaj stated, “I wasn’t through, Stephen,” and ended her verse: “But when you see us, please [bleeped] don’t stare/ Just address me as Queen Nicki Colbert.”

But other people believe Nicki broke Colbert . After Nicki’s audacious freestyle, Colbert tried to go on to the next part of the conversation, but he appeared to be at a complete loss. Now you, uhh, uh.. I don’t know where to go from here actually,” he stuttered. “I just don’t know what to do. I just don’t want to pass this moment. I just want to linger here for so long.”

Musically, Minaj had been dominating charts and streaming services in 2022 and 2023 as she preps her next album. The Queen of Barbz took to her Twitter and revealed that the untitled fifth studio album will drop on October 20th. “10/20/23 The Album,” she wrote in the tweet. Nicki Minaj hasn’t released an album in over 5 years, as she last dropped her fourth studio effort “Queen” in 2018.
