Divine & Naezy drops ‘NY Se Mumbai’ featuring Nas.
Indian cinema Bollywood is releasing a new movie rap movie called ‘Gully Boy‘ which is based on the story of Mumbai rappers Naezy & Divine. For the promotion of the hip-hop movie which stars Ranvir Singh, both the rappers team up with legendary Nas for a promo song called ‘NY Se Mumbai‘.
The filmmakers of Gully Boy chose an authentic Hip-Hop feel for the film’s promotion and music, including some of India’s top rappers, including Divine and Naezy, whose lives are based in part on the film. The pair has now enlisted Nas, the iconic New York emcee, for a promotional track titled “NY Se Mumbai” (NY to Mumbai). The song is being published in conjunction with JioSaavn’s “Artist Originals” program.
The film, directed by Zoya Akhtar and produced by Excel Entertainment co-founders Riteish Sidhwani and Farhan Akhtar, will be released on Thursday, February 14th.
